Crazy talk. Slander and libel. They aren't PC gamers, they're merely people who play games on PC. Totally different thing. Next you'll be telling me that soda and pop are the same thing. Disgusting. |

Here is another infographics that says, if I read it the right way, that half of PC gamers are on MMO, one quarter on Facebook and one quarter are "core" gamers.
(handhelds go from "floating screen" in the first picture to "consoles" in the second picture - "computer screen" is split into three parts)
EDIT: According to this handhelds (7% ~$5Bn) are still bigger than tablets (6%)
Probably 90% of them pirate games, I know most gamers in India are PC gamers but nearly all of them buy pirated versions of games (which cost less than $2) or download there games through torrent for free.
Since when does Intel give a damn about gaming, do they make GPUs now? Not talking integrated crap...

play nice, facebook gamers are gamers too. feeding their animals and all. Some spend hours a day playing them
This isn't like the PS2 selling because they were DVD players is it?

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
Me!
Really ? It's more than the number of computers sold in 2013 and 2012.
2013 = 316 millions
2012 = 352.7 millions
2011 = 352.8 millions

Well you see the global PC market has been shrinking the last few years. But PC gaming is actually growing, and spending on high end hardware along with it. Turns out there are millions of PC gamers that are willing to spend thousands on PC hardware which means that Intel can make high margins. Which helps offset the loss of the low end market that has been eaten by tablets. The kinds of PC just used for web browsing, word proccessing etc is actually a very low margin business in comparison. Gaming PCs need CPUs as well as GPUs.
So now you have this new gamer freindly inititive from Intel where they have PAX panells and they spend money on marketing aimed directly at gamers.
