30 days – 1,250 yen (plus tax)

365 days – 1,800 yen (plus tax)

Final Fantasy VII International:

3 days – 200 yen (plus tax)

10 days – 400 yen (plus tax)

30 days – 1,000 yen (plus tax)

365 days – 1,429 yen (plus tax)

Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders:

10 days – 300 yen (plus tax)

30 days – 800 yen (plus tax)

365 days – 1,185 yen (plus tax)

Each game will come with a free 30-minute trial, and Square Enix have plans to add more of their titles to the streaming service. Here’s what they’ve announced so far:

November: Final Fantasy VIII, The Last Remnant

December: Final Fantasy XIII-2, Murdered: Soul Suspect

Sometime in 2015: Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

The Dive In streaming app will launch October 9th for iOS and Android devices. A list of supported devices can be found on this page. Square Enix say a 3MB Wi-Fi connection is required, but recommend that a 6MB connection be used for best results.

Okay. How will phones control FFXIII's camera movement?

Hold on, WiFi? People aren't doing this at home are they? Comparable to buying FFVII for Vita/PSP except for those you keep it forever. Streaming services while a nice idea are strange. Sure they are an additional option after rental seems to have died but still.

Hmm, pie.

On screen swipe? thats how most games do it..
I think square enix must have been happy with the Dragon Quest X mobile numbers (also a streaming game on mobile) .. if they release FF15 with this service I might not even need to get a new gen console..

Streaming, and other subscription-based services will be more popular among people who tend to only play games once, and not play it after they have beaten it. Same idea with Netflix. I'm just going to watch this TV series once, so there is no reason to purchase every season. Kinda the same deal with games, and it's a lot like renting, except maybe more convenient because you don't have to leave your house.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Oh no, is this the future? Oh no

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Teh future is herez.

Good for smartphones...

...but I hate full games on touch screen where the location of the controls take up alot of the screen making your thumbs block your view.
