Well, when a race that suffered this much opression tries to get even in a artistical level, I can only applaud.
I do not know how it was in US and Europe, except from movies and books, but in Brazil the slavery of africans was very disgusting and cruel.
In the region I live there are still farms that have displays of tools of torture used in the slavery and stuff like that, it is a very shocking thing.
So, when jews or africans try to get even in any level, I applaud.
The same with natives killed by the colonization, here in Brazil 98% of the "indians" were killed. When the natives kill some trespasser from they reservation, I cheer and applaud.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

LMAO....is the movie even out yet?

I think the reactions that the thread is revealing is exactly what the movie is going for. I think the movie is moreso a look at the change in racial identity amongst younger black people.

And for the record "black" people can be racist,.......even to each other 0.0......which was indoctrinated during both colonialism and far past the post colonial era.

I hate that misconception. What people really are getting at is that there are rarely opportunities for black folks to have and take advantage of institutional racism.

Which makes since considering the myth of race was designed specifically to justify the dehumanization of "non-whites" during this time period.

There is something really wrong with people.  If you really think there is a difference between whites and blacks you are wrong.  Outside of having extra pigment in your skin, there is nothing that prevents people of any shade from procreating.  Therefore there really is technically no such thing a race in the classical biological sense.  Ethnicity is far more valid.  The idea that skin pigmentation causes you to be a different race (as in there is such a thing of a branching genesis of homo sapiens) is straight up invalid.

The fact that people can be unaware of this in the 21st century is a testament to the enduring ignorance that prevails our societies and it used as a tool to divide people for the purpose of control.

Bullshit. People should strive to be different and they have the right to base those differences on whatever they choose. They have the right to belong to a group based on those differences.

Easiest people to control are those without a sense of identity.

And bolding your own post is just stupid.

People of the same skin pigmentation ARE different.   You can't choose to be any race other than human.   I bolded my text because i feel passionate about what I am saying.  If that disturbed your sensibilities I apologize.  if my mother is white and my father is black, I can choose to identify with any number of ethnic groups or neither.  This does not make you or me biologically different.

Ignoring who you are and where you came from is sad. The way your ancestors lived and where they came from make you who you are today, whether you choose to ignore that or not.

And the bolding was not because you were passionate but because you feel big about yourself.

Who I am and where I come from have no bearing on who I will become or what I choose to do with my life.  I am tired of people projecting their own frame of reference on me and telling me what I have to chose to be.  I don't ignore where I come from.  I simply recognize that I have choices about what I identify myself as.  That is my right.   In just the same way, you are projecting on me and telling me why I bolded.  I make my own decision and am perfectly capable of identifying what makes me passionate.   My frame of reference has no bearing on who you are and I am not so arrogant as to tell you how you should feel about a given subject.

You have a very weak constitution if you think I'm telling you how you should feel. I'm simply expressing my feelings on the matter, just like you are doing, to an extent.

To be honest, you seem more interested in talking yourself up, saying how awesome and independent you are than expressing a genuine opinion. This shows a lack of confidence.

Gonna see it with my white gf if the reviews are good. I bet we laugh our asses off!
