Teaching fiction as fact will do that...

Your statment implies to me that your against religion or think it is false.

I don't like it.

No offense but why would he care if you don't like it? The majority of people think it's false and some have perfectally good, rational reason to be against religion.

Doesn't necessarily mean he is against religion. I'm sure the vast majority of people from all the other religions of the world would also view the bible as fiction rather than fact.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Nooooooo! Double post

I think I hit quote instead of edit :(

I still don't like it. And no the majority of people on the planet are not atheist.

The study is hardly convincing because of the methodology used. Every single fictional story used was a slightly altered Bible story (e.g., "John" parting the sea instead of Moses), and of course Christian kids inclined to believe stories they already believe even if you change the names of the participants. It doesn't prove that religious kids are more inclined to believe fictional stories that fall outside of the mythos of their particular religion.

That's true, or else they'd have a conflict that would tear their little minds apart.

We'd also need to know if the schools in question are on the same level in terms of achedemics.  Many public schools are horrible but some church schools are even worse.  My cousin transfered from a church school to a rather sub-par public school and was at least a year in behind most subjects and even further behind in math.

On the other hand, I think children who fight through the brain-washing of a religious education to find their own path gain valuable analytical experience.  I remember being deeply conflicted by Tom Robbins novels, as they danced all over my Baptist up-bringing, but that made me think rather than just accept.

They are five to six year olds. When I was that age I believed toys could talk ( Toy story ) and that superheroes existed. I am a christian and I think that many people are way into this thing, just enjoy your life and follow basic rules after all due you have any warranty that heaven exists.

We all know Sony domination is a real thing and there is nothing Microsoft or Nintendo can do about it....

don't think him talked about atheist, but majority think you falst if you think at this :

All religion + atheist > christian = majority think you false

Do same for every religion, majority will think you wrong, simple math.

little children ? like 5yo or 10yo ?

they dont know shit to begin with...they just know what they are being told both sides. so comparing religious children to non religious is stupid.

"identify supernatural elements, such as talking animals, as fictional"

Interesting, considering that the theory of evolution states that this is possible and that we are talking animals.

Contradictions?

But the majority of people disagree about what they believe in...so the majority thinks either all or most religions are false.
