Other than the peculiar choice for #1, I actually quite like this list.

BTW it seems the list was made by someone who has started gaming after 2000.

With Elite in there? :p

Actually seems more like a list from people who have been gaming for the long haul but aren't clouded by nostalgia.

I think a lot of older games are better without having to deal with nostalgia. Super Metroid would easily be in my top 10, but I only played it this summer.

It's interesting, I never really got on with Super Metroid, yet I loved the Prime games, Symphony of the Night and Metroid 2 and Fusion. (Never played the NES one)

But as I edited in my post, Nintendo will have suffered from a much lower presence in the 8 and 16 bit days in the UK compared with other parts of the world.

I liked metroid 2 as well, super metroid was just better imo. It had a lot better music anyway.

Shenmue is my favourite game and I was surprised to see it riding high at number 7.

Feel like it's too soon for The Last of Us to be a number 1, you can see how a lot of the games on the list have influenced gaming going forward and we haven't really had time to see how The Last of Us will influence gaming in the future.

Why is final fantasy on this list? And wtf is top ten?its blanked out on my screen

Every list like this is just terrible @.@ I'm not going to cite any specific grievances (because I don't think theres any point in arguing over specific games) but my goodness this is bad...

I don't really care about the order the games are ranked in because I'll never agree with it anyways, but it's not a bad list, tons of great games in there. But no Mario 3 stings a little.
