There have been some pretty major bombshells at GamesCom, arguable more so than E3 provided in June.
Microsoft unveiled Lara's ass won't be on PlayStation first for the first time in the franchise's history as far as I know.
Sony also went crazy on new game announcements for PS4 in retaliation (while E3 on the otherhand was more reiterating what we already knew).
Vita saw absolutely no love whilst it was mentioned at E3. Nintendo chose to not have a formal conference at both. (though they have attended both)
