Forums - Sony Discussion - Vita deserves so much better!

It's the classic "I bought a new product and I love it to death" syndrome. You will get over it pretty quickly, specially after you finish most of the worthwile games that the Vita has to offer... And that could take.. a week, maybe.

Sony didnt support the system enough(games and ads), mobile ate up a bunch of the handheld market and PS+ is giving away the entire game library. Long story short not enough money in the ecosystem and now 3rd parties are half assing games (Borderlands 2) if releasing them at all. I think it could be saved if Sony gave a shit.

edit:also a bunch of ports with PS3 eating away at potential exclusives, you named like FFX,DIsgaea and Sly

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I've said it before and, I'll say it again as a user of all 3 manufacturers.  90% of the people who claim Sony doesn't have the best exclusives are people who have not played said exclusives or don't own Sony products. Play Muramasa Rebirth, Ys, Gravity Rush and Tearaway, dude. They are all great.  Their exclusives are pretty much what set them apart on 3, 4, and Vita.

You know that Muramasa is a port of a Wii game, right?

a portable port with added features, HD graphics, and a redone dry translation, but yes I know that.

I almost bought Gravity Rush last night. Didn't pull the trigger, though. What would you recommend between that and Tearaway?

Gravity Rush is free with PS+, I would just get that if you don't have it.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

High price (console and memory cards), "no gaemz", poor advertising and has no ground breaking features.

Adding to this are tablets and smartphones practibility and popular casual games so here´s your reason for Vita´s failure.

The thing is still great anyway :) Been enjoying it.

It may be great but unfortunately few people want one.

I think it was removed recently from the IGC :(

Memory fcking cards, Sony needs to ask Microsoft to make some formatting anti piracy software for SD cards and then include an memcard to SD card adapter in the Vita/Vita TV.
Do this, 20 million sold the day of.

Its selling bad cause
a) Memory card prices are super high compared to microsd card prices
b) A lot of the games on its library can be found else where with an arguably better experience vs most of the games on the 3ds can only be played on 3ds period
c) 3ds gets a lot more love from Nintendo than Vita does from Sony (just look at e3 for example)
d) 3ds has games with more of a broad appeal than the vita does (Like Pokemon is played by kids, teens and adults)

And etc... I think the vita deserves its poor sales not cause its a bad system but the way that Sony is treating it... I mean, their latest thing (apart from freedom wars) was a new revision of the vita with a bundled 2 year old game that everyone and their dog as played...

The Vita's fate really is too bad. Too many things stacked against it, including Sony's own mishandling of it. However, I got mine near launch and have never regretted it! It's getting a lot of indie support and remote play is a killer feature for me.
