Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Wii U features a 'new nemesis'

Google Zelda U Breakdown and you'll get a crapton of hits.

I believe there was one on gaf as well tat had a screenshot of the trailer and highlighted all the major geographic features. They used the location of death mountain relative to a town to claim it was castle town before the castle and argued that by extension it was an earlier entry in the series' timeline.

They did a good job, convinced me that it seemed like it was an early installment, which is what I claimed.

Yea I saw all of that. Not very convincing in my opinion. Trying to correlate those locations to areas in a previous game is dubious at best.

Where'd you get the idea that it's after SS?

People have been breaking down the teaser shot. It seems to have all the geographical features in proper place but there's a lack of architecture found in the series, leaing people to assume it takes place before things advanced to that point.

What people where? The whole "i'm going to say that this spot looks like this area from Ocarina of time" or whatever doesn't make any sense.

You do make a valid point on his bolded. Just on the spot I can say that it is just an open field where link was. They were herding goats so it had to be out in the country somewhere. It most likely was near a village going by the watch tower in the first scene, forest in the second, and bridge in the third.

We saw only one area. Drawing these conclusions is jumping the gun at this point.

I'm just saying what I saw. I can only deduce this because of the villagers in the scene. And that bridge looked like the one leading to Ordon in Twilight Princess.

It could be any village. But you're not really agreeing with experimental then either.

Yeah, I'm not agreeing with any analysis that says where it lands in the story. I personally want a revisit to the hero of time, and I don't want a revisit to Ordon. That's just me.

My expectations for the new villain would be something cool like this:

But it's Aonuma..... So we'll probably just get more of this:

*sigh*

You should expect that kind of villain from other games, not Zelda.

Why? Something similar to Death Adder isn't all to diferent from this:

I LOVE ICELAND!

It seems the whole new villain thing was just a mistranslation, and it was suppose to be referring that we will be encountering tough enemies, not a new nemesis.

Zelda Wii U Will Be Set In A World Without Barriers

It turns out the translation by Rev Level for the forthcoming Zelda Wii U may have been incorrect. The official website apparently says that the highly anticipated game will actually be set in an endless world without barriers and that Link will encounter plenty of new mysteries and some tough enemies.

“In an endless world without barriers, the biggest one in the series yet, Link will encounter new mysteries and tough enemies”

I don't get how you could create a game without barriers tbh. I'm wondering if the world is spherical in a way that if you keep on going you will eventually get to the point of where you began walking but on a really big scale
