Forums - Gaming Discussion - US Box Office: Uncharted movie vs Halo movie

Which movie will gross more in US box office?

Uncharted movie 78 48.15%

Halo movie 84 51.85%

Total:162

Halo will most likely do better.

don't really care, got my post count up by one now :/

Systems Owned: PS1, PS2, PS3,PS4, Wii, WiiU, xbox, xbox 360, xbox one

As a movie that would appeal to a wider cinema audience I believe Uncharted would do better. Dedicated fans wise, Halo would probably do better with that group.

depends on the casting and director. Not a fan of the Uncharted Director so...

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

OP is very biased. Based on the community of gamers in my area, Halo would utterly destroy Uncharted. We've got too many characters like Nathan Drake already. Master Chief too, for that matter, yet more people in my area prefer Halo.

Who is a lonely futuristic soldier with an AI companion trying to find a reason for his existence and his troubled human feelings?

Really depends on when they release. If they release after the games come out and both are good, then both movies will do great. But if either games isn't up to par, the movies will flop

We've got plenty of futuristic soldiers. We've got no one exactly like either, but plenty of "close enoughs".

So, the debate is between a movie that so far only has a mediocre comedy director, and a movie that doesn't exist even that much.

So far, Halo wins because they saved on the director's salary.

Really? So if Halo had no multiplayer aspects to the game it would sell just as well as it has in the past due to its storyline?

THAT is your answer? What does Halo multiplayer and the sales of the games has to do with how well regarded the story is? Would the story be just as good even if the game did not have multiplayer? Yes, it would.

You said there is a reason why Halo is highly regarded in the gaming industry. Look at your previous statement. Do you forget saying that already? The reason why its so well regarded and sales are so high is due to multiplayer, not the storyline, hence my response to your claim. The storyline is not executed that well at all and is very ill-paced and dull. The novels on the other hand are good sure but the multiplayer of Halo in the videogame industry is what drives Halo and  keeps people coming back for more.
