Tropical Freeze murders absolutely everything for me.

MK 8 has a very good soundtrack. i like Dolphin Shoals and Sunshine Airport particularly.

Technically Bravely Default came out in Europe last year, but since it came out this year in North America i think i can post some from that game, i also played bravely default long into this year.

Mario Kart 8 has many awesome tunes like Electrodrome, Dolphin Soals and Cloudtop Cruise ( dat Gusty Garden remix)!

The Mario Kart 8 remix version of SNES's Donut Plains 3. The first time hearing it I was like: 'God, why is this so awesome?'

Mario Kart 8 is a stand out for me and I've never even played the game.

Of the games I've played, I'd have to say Infamous: Second Son, Child of Light, and Valiant Hearts are at the top.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Here we go then.

Firstly, from my "surprise of the year" early contender DanganRonpa, we've got two tracks.  First one reflects the calm-ness which occurs when you walk around the school during the day, only to get shattered when one of your classmates turns up dead.  Just wait for the second half of the song to kick in!  Second choice demonstrates the fast pace of the class trials and sets the tone perfectly for what's about to go down.

DanganRonpa: Trigger happy Havoc - Beautiful Days

DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc - Hope vs. Despair

Next up, we've got a technically 2013 game (actually, technically 2012 it released in Japan) but since it only came to Europe this year, I'm counting it.  Falcom always provide blinding soundtracks and Ys: Memories of Celceta is no different.  We've got one dungeon theme which I find fantastic, and then one boss theme which is just great.

Ys: Memories of Celceta - Underground Ruins

Ys: Memories of Celceta - The False God of Causality

And finally, we've got a song I've been exposed to through the r/gamemusic subreddit but haven't actually heard myself.  It's from ArNosurge (which is getting a western release this year, so it counts!) and shows that Gust are still at the top of their game which it comes to music

Ar NoSurge - Yal fii-ne noh-iar

I dug that last song Kres, thanks for sharing. ^_^

Having just finished DanganRonpa 2, I had to share this one.  It's such a badass song, and the murder case it's involved in is one of the best in the series.  A fitting piece of music to a fitting chapter of the game.  Incredible.

And with Ar NoSurge's release sneaking up on us (I just put in my pre-order today, hope it gets here by Friday!) here's another beautiful piece from the soundtrack.  A game about song with Gust's musical team was always going to end well; I cannot wait for this game:
