That initial download is quick, but when you open the game, you have to download the rest (10.97).

Yeah I agree stupid for both Sony and Bungie. They should have staggered out the e-mails last couple days and allowed everyone to pre-install.

PSN is completly destroyed right now.

Im sure they did see it coming, which is why they are testing it out this way with the beta so they can have a better idea of what to expect at retail release.  Very annoying though, but i guess this is what betas are for...

If y'all think this is bad now, wait until the game actually releases and you have north of 3 Million people trying to play it on PSN.

The bigger issue is not having a pre-install. I would understand if it was just the servers being hammered due to just logins but the fact everyone is trying to download 13.2 GB at once is whats also destroying it.

 

A simple Pre install would've helped the situation hugely.

Depending on how long this takes to get resolved, maybe we'll get a beta extension as compensation.
