How does The Last of Us PS4 compare with the PS3 version? First screenshots leak online

First shots turn up on Korean website.

The first screenshots of The Last of Us Remastered seem to have appeared online, offering fans the opportunity to compare how the game looks on PS4 with the original PS3 version.

While the screenshots have yet to be officially released by Sony, they were spotted on a Korean website alongside what appears to be a SCE Korea press release. A further shot allegedly of the PS4 version was also uncovered on NeoGAF.

Posting on GAF, Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer appeared to suggest that the screenshots were legitimate, stating:

"I think those screens were from the batch we sent for a print only feature in Japan. They may have been accidentally distributed. We'll see what happened, but regardless enjoy!"

One of the screenshots (below) matches an almost identical screenshot released previously by Sony for the PS3 version, and offers a good indication of what to expect from the PS4 remaster. And while it's hard to see the differences at first, closer inspection reveals slight improvements to both character models, particularly Ellie's hair.

Take a look below for a comparison or click each image to see them in a higher resolution.

Looks the exact same. This just proves you shouldn't announce a remaster after 7 months. If you played tlou on ps3, then you have essentially PLAYED IT. The way ND talked it up, I expected more.

the last pics are from a pre-rendered cutscene

the first one is in-game and looks much better than the ps3 version

edit: was wondering how long till someone who doesn't know what they're talking about was going to post. that was fast

Yeah, but if you HAVEN'T played it on the PS3 then you essentially  HAVEN'T played it!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I dont think we can judge the thing based on cutscenes, we need actual gameplay. If that 1st shot is from gameplay then its gonna look great.

The lack of anything from Sony officially though since the trailer is making me worry a tad. Unless I missed something they released. Everything is so quiet, despite the game going Gold.

True.  and True to both of you.

How many DLCs did this game have?  I never played any of them.  When I get a PS4, might be worth picking up for DLC packed in.

Eh, I thought I saw a news piece on it a few days back. Youre right though.

Not long left to wait!

Going gold means it's been printed, not that it's been released.  The game releases on the 29th.  Although if they haven'tprinted the game already, then the game is close enough to show images of what we're getting after it releases.
