I agree with you. I didn't like it very much, very mediocre. i play better FPSes every year

Really i want to know what FPS games you think is better every year. Im not discounting your opinion though.

It's not COD, if that's what you're thinking.

There's just always a few that are better. Last year Metro last light and Shadow Warrior, this year Wolfenstein TNO, etc.

I never liked the game either. I gave it a fair run, actually played it on PS3, 360 and PC on the back of heaped critical praise and enthusiastic gamer opinions on forums, but I never managed to finish it. While the setting and characters were totally unique, it didn't stop the game from being fundamentally boring and not scary.

Also, the so called emotional dilemma of choosing to harvest or set free? Please, you would need to add far more depth to a character for even a flicker of hesitation to enter my mind.

Definitely the hipster thing.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It kinda reminded me of Metroid Prime, and that is my favorite game ever

I believe it deserves the praise. In my mind it's the single best game of the seventh generation and one of the top five first-person shooters ever made.

There are a lot of great things going on in BioShock -- art direction, graphics, sound design, music -- but to me what makes the game so special is the way it transcends the boundaries typical of shooters. It features elements of role-playing games, adventure games, and horror games, all wrapped up in a totally immersive and customizable experience.

The thing is, Metro: Last Light also have all those great things going on with it: art direction, atmosphere, graphics, sound design; and while it is a bit more streamlined than Bioshock on the role-playing department, it mashes horror and adventure in a very unique and meaningful way.

It also presents a very subtle but very well-done morality system, which is certainly more inmmersive than PRESS A to Save, PRESS X to Harvest.

I'm not hating on Bioshock with this, neither I want to make it look like Metro:Last Light out of my opinion is far superior. My main complain is that critics gave a free pass on Bioshock's 1 flaws, whereas everyone punished Last Light for its flaws.

I thought it was a great game - great gameplay and a very unique and interesting world, as well as clever level design (something that is extremely rare in these one-way-trip shooter days)
