Note to moderators - Locking a thread without giving reasoning is not a good move. Until someone puts forth a valid reason to lock the thread, and posts it here for all to see, it shall remain open.

Let's get back to the discussion, shall we?

isn't that usually a clue that ioi locked it?

it is

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Download Firefox or Chrome and get AdBlock Plus for plugins. They do not need admin rights to be installed (for work). I have them at work.
Also, on phones (or in certain cases- PC), I have Java Script shut off. It limits you from performing certain things on this site, mainly replying; I rarely do anyway so it works for me.

Why in the world would you use this site without adblock?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You won't be the first and certainly will not be the last to be redirected to adblock on these forums.

The thing is if they were less intrusive less people would use adblock here and there would be a ton more ad revenue generated from it, but as it stands only those ignorant of the ways to avoid the ads are paying all the bills. If they were toned back to an acceptable lvl more people would let them appear and give ad hits.

You didnt hear this from me but addblock plus solves your problem

Can't use that on my work computer though, and there isn't a mobile version either, as far as I know.

The mobile version of Firefox allows for add-ons so you can have AdBlock on your phone.

I didn't think the mobile Firefox broswer was available on iOS.

The worst is when on Android (no longer using a smartphone) an auto ad that redirects your phone to a game on the play store.  I heard it also happens on iphones.

It does. That's the absolute best way to lose traffic to a site too. No one wants to feel like they're phone is being taken over.

I literally downloaded adBlock today because of this site. I turned it of for youtube though, just so that I can feel like my measly 0,002 dollars per view ( that's at least what one of the youtubers i watch said) still get contributed.

That is mot a convincing argument to stop using addblock.
