I think they will. For crying out loud they showed this game off during the Treehouse more than any other game announced. I think at one time it was 2 hours of nothing but Splatoon. I hate it when people beg Nintendo for new IPs, but then reject them because they're not Mario.



I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

This. Nintendo tries petty often to bring new IPs, but they are often ignored by the fans.

But I don't wanna wait :( oh well I am sure this game will get its own dedicated Nintendo Direct in a few months.

They're targeting families and children that like Nintendo, but have said "No" to recent Mario and other Nintendo outings. They're hoping this gets their interest.

How threads are going to be made if this. New ip beats all. And this game is not possible with any existing ip since they can change to squids.

Honestly I think Nintendo will also try to bring in the hard core bro shooter crowd with this too...how? Idk. Probably make an ad that takes a few jabs at COD and other games like that.
