I've heard from people of other forums that the dude running this site is a giant Xbox fanboy. According to them, it would look pretty bad if the Xbone was only doing 20k/week in the USA and below the 40k sales range WW. The amount of "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" threads would flood every single gaming site on the net.

I seriously doubt those accusations are true. ioi has had the Xbox 360 quite undertracked for a good while now, those shipped vs. sold numbers make no sense otherwise. The Xbox 360 should be on par, if not still above PS3.

Also, he's trying to sell his data to certain companies and he's making a living from that (among other things, I assume), so it's in his best interest to have reliable numbers. He may favor the Xbox personally for all I know, but I don't think he alters the numbers on purpose at the expense of the site's reputation.

What I do think is that he's not paying as much attention to the numbers as he used to (not like the numbers were ever that reliable though) and his formula is too skewed towards the Xbox One in the US, probably because it hasn't been tweaked much since last gen.

Hmm, Xbox One going up is a little bit surprising but who knows. Wii U up ever so slightly as well, but it should be much better next week (over 100k?).

PS4 getting close to the 100k mark, but Watch Dogs should keep it above for a while yet. Next week should be a good'un.

The XB1 numbers here have been a sad joke for a long long time now. By this time at least everyone realizes that they're total BS.

May NPD will be over 2:1 against XB1, and possibly closer to 3:1.

I cant see it being more than 60k FW, might be wrong, I dont think it will make a huge difference but will make wii u's sales higher more steadily.

I think it will depend on how people been sitting on thier hands waiting for this game to buy a Wii U, I know a few personally myself. I think it will be around a 100,000 which would be only 3 times what the Wii U is doing week to week now with no games. I do agree with you that it will raise the average weekly number

I actually do not believe that people will stop buying a X1 because of the Kinectless model inbound. This isn't like your traditional price cut where you get the same package for less. It's less package for less money.

Will there be a bump in sales come June? Yes. But I don't expect NPD April numbers to be much different to be much different from NPD May. In fact in the prediction thread I expect the X1 to sell more in May that April in the US with a slight increase due to Watchdogs.
