I've heard from people of other forums that the dude running this site is a giant Xbox fanboy. According to them, it would look pretty bad if the Xbone was only doing 20k/week in the USA and below the 40k sales range WW. The amount of "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" threads would flood every single gaming site on the net.

I seriously doubt those accusations are true. ioi has had the Xbox 360 quite undertracked for a good while now, those shipped vs. sold numbers make no sense otherwise. The Xbox 360 should be on par, if not still above PS3.

Also, he's trying to sell his data to certain companies and he's making a living from that (among other things, I assume), so it's in his best interest to have reliable numbers. He may favor the Xbox personally for all I know, but I don't think he alters the numbers on purpose at the expense of the site's reputation.

What I do think is that he's not paying as much attention to the numbers as he used to (not like the numbers were ever that reliable though) and his formula is too skewed towards the Xbox One in the US, probably because it hasn't been tweaked much since last gen.
