Forums - Nintendo - Mario Kart 8's N64 Rainbow Road is a slap in the face for fans of the original! <(X_O)>

What does all of this mean? It means that the original form of the N64 Rainbow Road was truly complete and utter garbage. Suck it up and deal with it, you tools.

Whoah, whoah, whoah! No, but honestly, I never even liked N64 Rainbow Road. It's really boring to me so I won't care for the MK8 one either.

So, are we excited for this revision or not?

two days...

OK... Maybe MK64's Rainbow Road wasn't all that great....

So extensive modifications mean that the course wasn't originally good?

That doesn't bode well for Toad's Turnpike....

Rainbow Road was awful. I get the philosophy behind it but really did fail from a gameplay perspective. The improvements sound like they'll make a much more exciting race.

The inclusion of so many MK64 Retro tracks was a slap in the face to fans of good Mario Kart games. I completely agree with this and approve of this message.

This Rainbow Road is better no question! Before I played or saw any of MK64, which I did for the first time a couple of ears ago, I thought RR was supposed to be like the best track... nah. But the music is still a lot of fun, I sometimes play tracks just for that.

It is the track of skill on SMK. There are some insane shortcuts you can risk for epic Time Trial times.

The original version of it looked terrible even then, I don't know why it even has fans. Modified version looks more exciting to play on.
