do you really think MS would say something like "Yeah, there will be a version without Kinect in 6 months or something, so don't buy the Xbox One just yet!"

There is a difference between no plans at the moment and NEVER. And if it was about hearing the fans they would have changed long ago not just now. They changed because of poor sales but hide behind "giving more options to fans". The same with drm they watched pre-orders not their channel.

Ms doesn't listen to the fans they listen to the lack of sales.

MS had a chance to seriously turn the tides. All they had to do was drop the retail sku to 399$. Instead, they removed the kinect to saitate those who believed it was unnecessary rather than actually proving the "necessity" of the peripheral. Best case scenario, Kinectless Sku will boost sales enough that June or July NPD will be MS but after that it'll just drop back, worst case it will have a worse effect than the TitanFall Bundle.

well but them they would have to bit the bullet.

But they certainly failed to make kinect attractive and their flagship game flopped.

Fans/Consumers have the right to free speech, at least in the US, so that means they can complain about and "beg" for whatever they want, using their money as their voting power. However, Fans/Consumers are rarely if ever certain of what they want and if there is outrage against something in the market its rarely if ever wholy bad.

MS claimed that Kinect was Xbox, but when people actually had to choose whether or not they would buy it, the fact that the majority attributed the price gap with the Kinect means that MS had failed to establish the value proposition correctly.

The fact that the Kinect is mandatory till June 9th, means that from this date till release MS has established that Kinect Base > XB1 base.

If they truly believed in its potential they would take the loss and maintain a Kinect Base > XB1 base, and at price parity with the PS4, the Kinect isn't the target of the price gap.

Seeing as the WW gap is 3million, they would lose 300 million to catch up with the PS4, a loss that can easily be made up in the sale of 3 retail games.

There is a difference between hearing and listening(understanding).

I'll certainly say they should have. Fanboys are WAY to forgiving though.

Yeah right... MS can't do anything right according to VGC.

Some might even argue that "lack of sales" actually is a kind of feedback from fans. Ever thought about it? Probably not

Killer Instinct was one of the most requested games for a dedicated fanbase and not a game with any chance to be a commercial hit.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Even if they did, at least Xbox One will have a Halo game. All the Saturn got was 3D Blast and Sonic R.

Edit: I don't understand how most gamers could be annoyed by this. It would make more sense that they happy that Xbox One cost less, doesn't have to be always online, etc.

Sonic R was fucking amazing, you're just wrong!

SUPER SONIC RACING!!!!! 10.1/10!

I think devs will be happy to see MS sell more consoles. Wouldn't surprise me if they were annoyed at the slow sales.
