29,99$ for pokemon silver? are they insane? they go for 10€ max at ebay and changing the batterie is so fuckn easy...

Maybe they're that cheap in Europe, but on US eBay, they usually go for $20 or $25, without the battery guarantee. Even people who know the price difference may spend the extra $5 or $10 on a whim, because they're scared of messing up the cartridge, they're lazy, or because they can test the game out at the store before buying it.

u cant mess that up... i make that often, and onetime i just glued the batterie in the right place.  and game works fine.

I would love to have a store like that where I live.

Wow, admirable job Salnax, I known a store like this but it's rather expensive and on the other side of town.

I know people who can't use a DVD player because the DVD is upside down. I have a family member who gets confused what the two buttons in Super Mario games do: run and jump, or jump and run? I've held my end of discussions where people have discussed how the PS4 is exactly 62.5 times as powerful as the Wii U, since it had 500 GB of memory instead of 8 GB.

We live in a tech-heavy world populated by luddites.

Love and tolerate.

"One employee says that this has made several times as much money as every Vita-related product in the shop's history."
That is both sad and awesome at the same time!

I saw somebody come in to buy a Vita game once.

And that's it.

Not very surprising when you consider how the Vita only sold 2500 or so units the week ending the 26th in North America.

The Wii U is five times as popular!

Love and tolerate.

Really shows how important Microsoft has become so quickly, as they only have 2+a little generations, yet still nearly equaled Sony and Nintendo (3+ gens for Sony and 5+ for Nintendo)

I love stores like this. We have one in my town it's called Games EXchange or something like that. It's actually kind of a chain I think.

Edit: I googled and I didn't have the name exactly right, but this looks like them, they have a website and are a chain http://www.gogamexchange.com/

I always wanted to make a video game store like that but figured margins are too low to bother. Well, if they do well enough to be an actual chain, I guess there is a little money in it.

Looks like they now have become a little tablet trade-in focused though judging by the website top banner, which isn't good but sign of the times.

I demand a recount!

My local 'we're not eb games', actually they're part of le superclub videotron' has tons of old games as well. It's a franchise yet feels more like a mom and pop store. Maybe it's the guy that runs it that is passionate about video games. Distribution seems a bit more equal between ps3 and 360, Wii has the most used games. Plenty gen 6 available, less gen 5, not so sure about earlier games. They also sell lots of video game related toys, board games, and used movies, dvd and blu-ray. It's always fun to browse through the racks down memory lane.

I wanna go to that store! What's the address?
