@BenParfitt The Wii U is now as old as the Dreamcast was when it was killed off. It has sold around half the number Dreamcast had by this point.

Even accounting for the year headstart in Japan it has sold less than the Dreamcast

First of all, the same thread was made a couple of days ago.

Secondly, the dreamcast wasn't killed of just because it sold bad, it was killed of because Sega was a bunch of economical tards that didn't know how to run business. They didn't have the funds to keep going.

And yes the Wii U is a flop. We've gotten that part by now.

Sorry there was already a thread about this.

your name is not toastboy, you're not allowed to post this.

Lolll, Come on Toas-

Oh... What the hell... Your not that sad panda

Wii U has sold more than half but yes the DreamCast is tracking ahead by a good amount.

I have always thought that DC sales were actually pretty good. If Sega had more money and kept it alive for a full 5 year cycle, it probably would've beaten the GC honestly.

Depressing. Sad time to be a Nintendo fan.

Why is it depressing? Selling 70 thousand units without any major titles being released this month and little advertising pretty awesome i think. Look at all the money they are saving. SEGA had Sega CD, 32x,  and Saturn before Dreamcast these were HUGE Flops and the way they handle the Saturn and Dreamcast  in the U.S. is why Sega end their console making. It seemed like all Sega cared about was ending Nintendo so they tried so hard to do that instead of just making good quality games. When was the last time you heard Nintendo say they want to be the dominate console? Barely. The Wii took off and gave Nintendo hoards of cash to now not care of the U.S. Gaming Media and just make innovative Consoles and amazing games.

How can you say its their worst a year and half in of sales? By going off Dreamcast? If SEGA didnt eat itself alive with 4 hardware releases in span of 6 years and over advertising the Dreamcast would of had money to keep it running at a normal cycle the Dreamcadt would of hit 40-50 million sold( i see the WiiU 55-60). A smart business owner understands there will be peaks and valleys with sales, you have to use your great years to save for the down. Which is why the Wii console makes the WiiU slow start bearable for Nintendo. We seen the first 3 months of this year already well ahead of last years pace.
