Obviously X1 overtaking the WiiU.
Now that the Japanese government passed the law that every Japanese with thumbs has to own a Vita, I'm not seeing the WiiU overtaking the Vita anytime soon.

Wii U rarely outsells Vita outside of the holidays, XBOne sells 40k+ more than either one on a weekly basis. I think there's a good chance that XBOne will outsell both by the time the year is over, whereas I'm not even sure if Wii U will ever outsell the Vita.

Well Vita is picking up in Japan so Id say X1 will take WiiU first



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

X1  will outsell the Wii U this year and Wii U will outsell the Vita  in late 2014 or early 2015.

What crazy scenario did you envisage that required you to hedge your bets here?

If Xbone outsells WiiU before WiiU outsells Vita then Xbone must also outsell Vita before WiiU does, unless...

Xbone outsells WiiU

WiiU then passes Xbone

WiiU passes Vita

then finally Xbone passes Vita

Definitely gets you bonus points for imagination! :D

To my mind what it boils down to is; will the Xbox One pass the Wii U by Christmas, because with the boost in sales then, the Wii U will probably get within spitting distance of the Vita, if it doesn't pass it altogether.

Assuming this weeks sales are typical, the Xbox One sell 50,000 a week more than the Wii U. And taking round figure from the graph, the gap is ~1.8 million. That would take 36 weeks to close, or 9 months, missing the Christmas deadline...


MK 8 will give it a few weeks spike and it will return to normal. I don't think it will pass the Vita, at least not this year. X1 is outselling Wii U 2:1, it would get to a draw this year even without the holidays. With that in account, it will pass easily. Vita is outselling Wii U right now, with Wii U having only the holidays to sell better. And I'm actually believe that PS4 and One will steal sales from it this year in the US where this makes more difference.



Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.

Xbox one will outsell Wii U first thanks to japan support that vita is currently enjoying. I'm guessing a lot of people is voting based on heart/wish instead of realistic expectations.
