Forums - Gaming Discussion - Tetris sold, yes sold, 425 million times on Mobile. Total 495 million all platforms. All hail Tetris!

He worded it so weird though: it's still doing fine. doing fine? so 325m is just "doing fine"? ok then :P

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I've got Tetris on my phone, only game I have on it. But I didn't buy it, it was free. Who's buying it?

Hmm, pie.

Henk Rogers made millions with Tetris.. i'm sure he's just downplaying how much it is making him.. his net worth is over 100+ million dollar.

Yeah. It must do at least 1 billion in order to be considered very successful!

How much is Tetris on a mobile device? $1? Still be a ton of revenue for them. Personally I find touch controls unresponsive so could not imagine playing higher levels without getting frustrated.

My Tetris classic game. Red Bull FTW :)

I play more modern versions from time to time too, but something about the NES version is so pure and difficult. There is no sliding, climbling, hold piece, etc. It's just brutal at the higher levels. You have to tap like mad to move the pieces side to side at a fast enough rate because just holding L or R only moves it at a moderate speed.

It is kind of true that these days most Tetris apps are free, but I remember buying it when it was on Gameboy. Now that it is being talked about I actually feel like getting back to my old app, it’s been a while since I last had a go. The game is immortal and Mr Rogers is a lucky man!

Undeniably one of the best games ever. The remake that came out on PSN a couple years back with the 4 player lazer and water battles and whatnot was excellent also.  I still remember getting this bundled with the original Gameboy haha.
