Forums - Gaming Discussion - Adam Sessler Leaving As A Video Game Journalist

He was absolutely blatantly full of crap if you are not attached to one system or the other. Ludicrous praise for company X's products while ignoring their shortcomings, and ludicrous nitpicking for company Y's products while ignoring their good points.

He was the definition of overt bias, and he won't be missed.

Goodbye crazy hands :/

Please tell me this is an April Fools joke. Adam Sessler is one of the few sources I trust for game reviews.

I second this.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

I never like Sessler or the gaming community ...

Sessler and morgan web was my introduction to game reviews on xplay. I hardly touched a computer in those days. Was sad when he dropped off that cast and happy when he popped back up on rev,(to that point I mostly used gamespot's reviews).

So I don't know if I'll watch much game reviews anymore.

I'm sure he secured his position that he just spent so long auditioning for. There's no other way to be so completely inconsistent and without credibility than to just be a corporate windbag.

Apologies to anyone who disagrees, but there is little to no loss here what so ever.

I agree with what you and ethomaz have said.  I also think this means he's going to work at MS.  At least this way he won't feel so guilty (if he even feels that emotion) when he accepts their money.

It is a damn shame. I have always looked up to Adam. Even though he's landed himself in some controversies lately, I still trust the guy to give me his honest opinion.

I will miss him.

"Trick shot? The trick is NOT to get shot." - Lucian

The industry is losing another shill "journalist" who tends to conveniently give glowing reviews to big "AAA" games?

Oh darn.

In short, sony fans: he was a crappy journalist, and I hated him. The rest of us: damn, thats too bad.... lol

I'm Sony fan and i don't hate him. I think, as far as presentation goes, he is one of the best reviewers out there. He also has an obvious Microsoft Bias, his Titanfall review is the most recent example. Points out multiple flaws, then gives it a perfect score. Also the whole "resolutiongate" flip flopping. Sometimes he's an asshat.
