Hi all

So, PS4 and Infamous: Second Son entered the household about 3 hours ago.

I will post some more fleshed out impressions on the system and the game early next week.

Console form factor is fantastic, it also runs (fairly) quiet.  It isn't quite as quick as I hoped it would be in shifting between applications and screens - but not bad at all.

Got the free trial of PS+ and will see how I like this month's free game before jumping in on a permanent basis.  Infamous looks nice, nothing ground breaking about the graphics, but certainly very pleasant.  Loved the first two so looking forward to sinking my teeth into it more substantially.

Entirely open to suggestions for games, UI refinements, and any and all other suggestions on how to enjoy the console.

get the Wireless Gold Headphones when you get a chance - i love mine as the4 sound quality is fantastic.

you will find niggling things though the UI needs working on but thats expected and i really dislike the bumper buttons on the pad

most of my complaints would revolve around the UI although its simple and gamey it needs refrshing and updating which im sure it will, also the shop is attrociously laid out lol. you will end up liking it but its clear it needs working on but thats the joys of early adopting

please try Warframe its  a really good FTp title il add you when i get back from training

ps. the share button isnt explained fully, it will auto record anyway but to trigger a saving of the last 15mins you press the share button, also if you want to begin a specific recording double tap share button, and hold share button for a snapshot

On a more serious note, nice to see you gave a Sony system a chance. I'm not sure if this was the best moment to get a PS4 but in many ways, Sony has nailed it with the PS4 so I doubt getting one was a bad idea. Have fun with your purchase!

I thought it was a starcraft port to PS4, like Diablo 3, i was wondering how they were gonna rework the controls lol.

Yeah, PS3 and Xbox 360 are so refined now, but I remember the UI's were SHIT to begin with.

I might give Warframe a go then.

Good tips on the Share button, I was curious, but there hasn't been any sort of automatically tripped explanation thus far!

He probably thought Blizzard was porting SC2 to PS4 which is exciting but absurdly unrealisitc given the type of game SC is.
