If you have android + root... you can install adblock plus for ur phone

i lived happily without adblock for years and never felt the need until these annoying ads started appearing here. I installed adblock specificlaly to get rid of that titanfall ad, it is the most annoying thing I've ever seen, it blocks your screen completely.

Has the Titanfall popup ad stopped yet? It's not here at the mo for me but it sometimes appears for every page I view and I have to close it twice. I don't mind the usual ads, background adverts as well but that one is stupid.

Well the complaints about specific ads means nothing here, the site would just sell the advert space to a company who'll make the ads and get revenue for each specific advert, it's not like Brett decides he is going to have an annoying titanfall ad per se just that the company he is selling banner space to is promoting that game this week.
I'm sure loads of sites use the same set of ads tho so if they're annoying and invasive here a lot of complaints will filter back to the people who make the adverts originally, not just from here but other sites too.

This site really needs a mobile version.

The difference between using this site at home and then at work lately are night and day.

At work........... VGC, N4G, Youtube, TrueTrophies, and many MANY more sites absolutely INFURIATE ME.

Adverts now pop up more than ever, they are longer, and i just reached a point where i couldn't take it anymore.

End your misery today, get adblock installed.

I dont have a problem with browsing on the phone. I cant see any adverts and I dont remember installing ad-block on my phone.
However I was at university today and every single damn link I clicked would open up a titanfall advert. The ads make the computer lag so bad that even if you click the close button it takes an age responding and once it does, it clicks whatever link was behind the close button, and once that loads the advert comes back.

I got fed up and just the site down.

I really feel sorry for people who dont know about adblock. I do not see intrusive adverts as a legitimate way for a site to make money and I would never support it. If adblock didnt exist, I wouldnt even be using this site anymore.

Ads should NEVER be intrusive! But they are and that's why I sadly use adblock and will continue to do so until these problems have been taken care of.
