The only time I've done it was in Pokemon Red. I've gotten close in Pokemon Silver, but I haven't really made the effort in later games. I hope to do it eventually in Pokemon Y though :)

I have done it in Pearl, Black 2, and X. Not including a few event only legends.

Yeah thats my mentality too, only time I've ever caught more than about 30 was in Soul Silver because I played it way more than the others

I got them all in Diamond :D

Edit: I spent way to much time on GTS. I think I still have 5-6 mews, three under lv10. I also had all Deoxys at the same time, and like 4 Jirachis. :D

Blame Nintendo for not many ways to obtain Mew.

I believe that was Diamond for me. Will attempt to catch em' all in my 2nd playthrough (X version)

I got everything I could in Blue. But of course you know how it could be next to impossible to link up with other systems, so I never completed it. One of my only regrets in life...

That's the spirit. Pokemon is all about darwinism and eugenism. Why would we want a sick oyster in our team ?
