The reality where the majority of people spend a lot less time working than they did in the 50's, 60's, 70'', 80's and even 90's and more leisure time for things such as gaming. Same goes for kids and teens; they spend more time on education but a lot less on work. That's the reality I live in; one hour worth of work yields a lot more now than it used to, both due to machination and automation of our society and the extreme increases in income in many areas of the Western world. The average teen spends more time on the internet and watching TV than they do in school.

I mean, really? 20-33 hours per week on TV alone is not a sign of people having a lot of spare time? And this isn't even counting time spent on the internet or doing other recreational activities, sports etc.

That's internet, texting and related things, another 23 hours on average, combine those with the average of the above mentioned group; that's about 49-50 hours a week spent on internet, TV and related stuff, still not counting sports, trips and other activities. I mean; come on, you can't possibly disagree with the notion that the average man and woman and boy/girl have a lot more time on their hands for gaming today even if you yourself are undergoing a period of stress and heavy workload.

Are you truly going to argue that the population as a whole hasn't gained more leisure time over the decades? You know that's not true.

As for being "an adult and work to pay bills and stuff", well; so am I. I have about 255 hours now in March yet I still find time to play games and spend time on Vgchartz, when I come home there isn't any "work" to do in the same sense as in my grandparents' time, and if I had children, there wouldn't be any need for them to "work" either unless they wanted to save up for something they do on their spare time.

Maybe you are stressed and really are short on time these days; that doesn't make anything I said wrong, it makes your case anecdotal and not representative for the entire population. You made the mistake of imposing your personal reality on everyone else, that's hardly how it works in the real world, and as an adult who pays bills, you shouldn't have to be told as much.
