No, PS4 wont outsell Vita in Japan, and will have a baseline lower than vita.
Its a handheld market.

Nah....even though I think the PS4 will do fine in Japan I feel like they just don't care about consoles anymore. Handhelds yes but home consoles no. Now when more games are released for the PS4 that cater to the games there then the PS4 might pick up.But time will tell!

I haven't checked any stores, I got mine when I was on holidays in Spain. From what I hear it's hard to find, though not impossible.

BTW, taxes are going up in April so PS4 (and HW in general) sales might go up before that.

I haven't seen any page specify. I don't think MC and Famitsu would be that off though.

Christ this is horrible, cant you wait until tomorrow's numbers are out? Cant you provide wii u and vita 2nd week numbers for perspective? Are you not even aware those ps4 numbers in you op are from media create?

Yeah, I got confused with the Famitsu number, the were talking about the 1,37m SW sales. The 370k figure is from Sony. I updated the OP.

But now, if we take MC numbers, the 2nd week would be even worse.

I don't worry about PS4, it's selling gangbusters. I just worry about the Japanese market.

It is only the second week. I think it'll do fine and outsell the Vita and Wii U within the year.

Do you remember what second week ww was for ps4 at release?
it was 100k or so.

Second week supply problems are likely but not guaranteed.

Could just be lack of software too.
