in lower res games I don't notice a difference, I'd need a ps4 to compare with haha. I can't see how ps4 exclusive owners can see a difference without an xbox one to compare with.......

To me they go in the same class as shovelware. I'll keep factoring in the 1080p 60fps games you bring up, but I certainly don't know if you're right or wrong.

I think you misunderstood my comment. What I'm saying is I don't know the resolution and framerate of the games you're bringing up. I have no interest in the games so I didn't search out information about them at launch. If they make something I said wrong though, then of course I care about the results of that. Doesn't mean I have to start caring about the game though.

I do care about PVZ. This thread is about resolution though so yes that's what I'm interested in right now. I wasn't complaining about your post.

Remind me what game currently runs 1080p/60 (locked) on PS4, excluding little indie games. ISS and The Order aren't even going to be 1080p/60.  People need to get over this resolution debacle.  Both PS4 and XBox One currently struggle running games at 1080p/60, but will achieve that in the future once developers start exploiting the hardware.

2. Bolded part: We have heard but havent seen them. I remember alrert penallo saying, "We cant comment on third party games but we can say RYSE will be 1080p 60fps". So dont believe what you hear.

DR3 has hundreds of independent AI characters on-screen at any one time.  I don't know of any other game on any system managing that.  I think it's unfair to compare that with a game like ISS with maybe only a dozen AI characters on-screen.  Early preview of The Order said it was struggling to hit 30fps with it's sub 1080p res.  I'm sure it will be optimized to hit that mark though and I still think it is a beautiful looking game by the way.

Regarding your second point, Albert Penello was the one who corrected his earlier mistake about Ryse's resolution.  It might 'only' be 900p but it is still lauded by many independent journos as the current best looking game on next-gen systems.  Some prefer Killzone on PS4.

Just seems double standards are being used here.  Can't criticize one machine for failing to hit 1080p/60 at the moment when neither does (except Forza 5). Great games on both systems with even better games to come.    

 

BTW I did a TYPO. The order will be running at 1980 x 800.

 

BTW sometimes a "mistake" is a "straight out lie".

At least is 60 FPS. Resolution was probably sacrificed to ensure stable 60 FPS, just like SM3DW is 720p for the same reason. Besides, Full HD is better for realist games IMO, and it's not even like if 720-900p were that bad. 1080p isn't a must for this kind of game at all, and the 60 FPS will make it all look better.

This game is really interresting I like the art of Plants vs Zombies. The gameplay remind me a lot of Conker and Fur Fighters.

It's incredible though with all the info we got on this game people care only talking about it's resolution. What a sad generation this is going to be it's like a lot are on autotroll mode. Xbox is getting good games and people don't like that.

Any non upscaled material looks clearer on a 1080p display, no matter what the size and distance. I can put my 1080p laptop at 1600x900 resolution and sit 20% further back, should be the same right? Far from it.
