Forums - Gaming Discussion - Titanfall wont have bullet penetration

We knew there wasnt destruction and its 6v6 but considering thats just like COD, I thought that was acceptable (that doesnt mean, I wasnt expecting more).

But now its announced that theres not even bullet penetration. That was the most popular thing about COD. I still remember the COD4 trailer when my jaw dropped to the floor just because some guy got shot through a fence...but all these years later we are back to boring static environments again?

Bullet penetration was the perfect solution to maintain the map design, while not allowing environments to be used as safe havens.

Its a plus if you enjoy camping, but this is a dealbreaker for me.

what do you guys think?

No penetration, no purchase.

But they started this with CoD 4!!!!

I didn't like bullet penetration on CoD because it was completely random on what you could or couldn't shoot through. You couldn't shoot through a paper thin wall that looks to be made of wood, but you could shoot through a thick concrete wall, or a steel box.

It was less realistic and more based on who remembers what you can shoot through or not.  You can't even shoot through some random ornaments decorating stages, like the boat on Black Ops 2.  Those damn towels and that spa are bulletproof all  to hell.

*edit*

I'm not interested in Titanfall, but not going to bash it because it's doesn't include some stupid gimmick I didn't like.

This is so retardedly backwards.

Nice. In the future they are finally making stronger walls and fences. If this was not EA, i would pre-order this so hard. Still hyped.

agreed

This is horrible news. If I don't penetrate at least twice a week I get cranky.

Lol pretty much, trying to say no bullet penetration is a deal breaker when they werent interested to begin with. Not one time playing the alpha did i say  "Man this is awesome, but where is the bullet penetration?!?! Lol
