How the same game can have different grades for reviews and the lower be for the version that is being accepted as the better one?

Winner! This is your answer, most sites reviewed the PS4 version and I believe this was due to it being reffered to as the better one. Also Meta scores are all over the place most of the time since the take sites that are bigger and with more traffice etc. more into account.

This happens all the time with many multiplats,no worries.
Everyone knows which version is better they don't need a meta to prove anything.

13 vs 37 reviews. With more reviews, there's a higher chance of a score reducing. This is the same case IMO why Ocarina of Time is the highest rated game based on 22 reviews. Compare that with recent games that have over 70, 80, 100 reviews. With Quarter to three lucking.

It's kinda like how Ocarina of Time has a 99 on Metacritic, but only because the number of reviews is really low.

yep. sites like quarter to three have added in reducing the score of games like halo, uncharted, last of us lol. just for fun.

Quarter to Three gave Halo 4  a 2/10... That score is complete nonsense  even if you are disappointed by the way Halo 4 turned out campaign-wise and/or multiplayer-wise.. That guy does reviews just to get attention.

That is what has come with increased number of gaming sites. Jokers on the internet have increased too. Scores like that cannot be justified in any way. A game has to be unplayable to get less than a 5 IMO.
