Forums - Gaming Discussion - I don't get why there's such a big power difference.

Since when have consoles ever matched each other spec for spec?

first succeed Kinect = culprit for XB1

M$ is playing the "long term" game.

Care to elaborate?

It's nothing. I just remember M$ saying something along those lines during the fallout after their DRM announcement.

In all seriousness, they probably do have something more up their sleeve. They couldn't have possibly expected to beat Sony at that price with those specs - which implies to me that they're conceding the launch period in favor of later success. Then there's all the money they've pumped into the cloud, plus including Kinect in every unit, yet we're seeing no benefits from either of those as of yet. It just seems like those choices might have a bigger impact than we're all expecting once this generation is well and truly underway. :/

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, though. I just really don't want to see another gen with Sony dominating.

I blame Kinect. They forced it on people because they knew it would sell like crap on its own. Motion fad is over.

to the naked eye; there was no power difference btween 360 ps3 and same with one ps4.. i don't get why paper e-peens matter

and that's where your wrong....It's compeltly different. Beeing at the CAC over here deployed, there is a gaming station where people come to hook up there consoles since they don't have TV's here and they provide...people have been getting shipments in with the new consoles.

There is a huge difference from games played side by side, and it's not even funny how big of a difference there is....I knew the ps4 was more capable, but when you actually see them...it's dramatic difference this time around.

Price of the system and Xbox Live pay wall is whats holding the system back.

help me understand. what two games are showing the big difference?

Price-wise, blame Kinect. Without Kinect Xb one could have launched for $349.

The first ones i saw where COD ghost and while not really a "graphical king" When one version looks completly grainier than the other something is wrong here... Mind you the CAC mass purchases TV's all where 1080P and the same model. I don't mind going there today to take pictures if you guys really doubt me that much on it.

Second game i saw i only saw on xbox...and i was kinda impressed by it, and i don't even like sports games. It was some basketball game. Not a comparison but i'll give credit where it's due.

The second games i saw playing side by side were AC4....that one is a huge difference...the xbox version stutters a lot and is very bery fuzzy compared to the ps4 counterpart. I even noticed pop in and think a few textures were even a lower resolution.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

There are secret stuff hidden in the box, you know...
