Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If you were President of Nintendo, what would you do?

The real problem is that Nintendo (as always) overvalued their IP. Mario just doesn't sell home consoles, anymore, but the damage is basically done.

The Wii U definitely needs some marketing presence. It is practically invisible compared to the PS4 and XBox One. ADVERTISE.

Also, I would double down on Zelda U and X. These are literally the games which can save your console. They need to be awesome and they need to be out.

A Majora's Mask remake would also be a good idea, although personally I would go the Oracles of Ages/ Seasons route and make it clear this is a parallel game, not a remake. There is, after all, precedence in the Zelda series for parallel adventures. From there...go nuts. This is THE M rated Zelda game people will talk about for the rest of time. No sex or cursing, but there will be gore, death, and a host of disturbing images.

Disturbing like there are some VERY hard sidequests, and if you fail you see Cremia, Romani, Kafei, or other NPC die a horrible death or live with a haunting curse for the rest of the cycle.

Oh, and difficulty increases randomly after you return to the beginning a few times, you see a montage of your own failures as you save while Majora laughs at you, and if you want to not see a grave or a sad ending at the credits, you have to complete the whole Bomber's Notebook in ONE CYCLE before confronting the final boss.

You clearly don't understand why people like Zelda.

No. I understand why people like Majora's Mask.

Work on gaining more and better Western connections ASAP.

I would make all the Dev teams poof dozens of games into existence for my brand new Nintendo Master System, being released in the Summer. It would be a handheld with the virtual reality goggles, and more powerful than a PS4. Plus it would have motion controls. And can hook up to TVs in order to project the game images onto them at 120 frames per second. Then I would run a teen targeted marketing campaign saying that all real men will purchase this system, because the other ones are gay. Not that there's anything wrong with it, just sayin. GAY.

In the US it comes with a free defense gun.

Seriously, I think I am just what Nintendo needs to turn their company around, I am full of great ideas on how to direct them to a powerful leadership position in the market!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Is that a response to my post? Not that there's anything wrong with it.

Lol this is like the 3rd or 4th thread asking the same thing that i've seen in the chartz lately, why does everyone want to run Nintendo lol

Get me some bitches PRONTO!
thats what i would do...

I wouldn't really change too much honestly. Software takes time and over the last 6 months Nintendo and their 2nd parties have been hiring a lot of talent so games are coming.
I would hire a different marketing firm.
I would blacklist most 3rd parties from making games unless they let a Nintendo team work with them to insure quality and no IP would appear on Wii U or 3DS if it is beyond the first game.

3rd parties are to blame for why people do not buy their software. Haters can make any claims they want but nobody lines up for subpar game after subpar game.

I certainly would never listen to people who claim to be Nintendo fans and listen to what they want.
Example I want new IPs. Sounds good til you look at sales of new IPs and how the people claiming they want them never buy them.
