A new prediction...

Before the Japan launch the GAP will be ~2.4m and after Japan launch it will be over 3m.

+ I expect PS4 start to outsell Xbone over 100k per week from the next week.
+ I expect PS4 to shell 700-900k in Japan launch.

And you?

UPDATED

Second prediction.

PS4/Xbone will be over 500k in US before Titanfall launch.

Microsoft shouldn't even bother releasing Xbone in Japan. They will fail miserably. I feel the gap will be over 2 million though since PS4 has yet to get a good Japanese lineup.

I don't think the Japanese PS4 release is going to be as big as some are expecting. And Titanfall hits the Xbox One just a couple of weeks after the PS4's Japanese release, it will help close the gap back up. I don't see the gap between the two being larger than 2.5 million until later this year.

Later this year I guess the GAP will be close to 8 million.

Around the Network

Most of the stores around me are still taking preorders which either means the allocation is meeting demand or demand isn't as strong as one would think a month before launch, especially considering the supply issues elsewhere.

Also, looking at the launch line up displays at the stores around me, there aren't really any games that feel like system sellers in Japan. It is mostly Western games, and having Knack as the (digital) pack-in game won't do them any favors.

I am sure that the system will do well on launch and will eventually be successful in Japan, but I don't think it will do that great with the masses until Japanese games are available at some later date.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition
Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! (Yakuza)
Deep Down
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta

I think these games are for Japan launch.

the P was WAY undertracked in that tittle, but with the adjustments it seems spot on

2M (2,3M max) for me and 300-350K for Japan launch if no supply problem.

700,000 to 900,000. At launch? So, it will be the biggest launch ever to even handhelds in Japan? What is based on? Or do you mean something else.
