Nintendo’s U.S. president Minoru Arakawa wasn’t sure what to think when Microsoft made the offer. “I was surprised,” Arakawa admitted. “We didn’t need the money. I thought it was a joke.”

yeah i remember that. it took everyone as a surprise. Nintendo was really strong since it had the Hh monopoly, and even the GC made them a lot of money on SW. there was no reason for NIntendo to be sold to Msoft. but you know thats how Msoft does things i guess.
