Metroid Prime. it was such an amazing exprience when i played it for the first time. i bought it thinking it was just a generic fps but damn was i wrong.

Same. Except I didn't know what to think of it. I was an exclusive PC gamer until Prime showed me the light.

OOT and FF X.

No question, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Conker's Bad Fur Day! If i think about it, there were several games on the N64 that i was kind of obsessed with before their release And most of them could keep their promises, unlike a lot of games today!

Fallout 3
Mass Effect 3
Super Mario World
Zelda a Link to the Past
World of warcraft
Skyrim
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy 7/8/9/10
Silent Hill
Resident Evil 2
Halo 3
Ufo enemy unknown
Rome total war

Every one of these games I've finished multiple times and even now I'm replaying Fallout 3, no other games hooked me like these.

Proud owner of Ps4/3ds xl/pc/vita/wii u and others.

Gamer till I die

As a kid, these two games blew me away:

EDIT: Thanks, Hynad.

This list has to be taken into context. Those games were like magic to me when I played them when they originally released.

Final Fantasy IV (SNES)
Resident Evil
Final Fantasy VII (When it first came out. Now, not so much. I remember buying a lot of magazine that had article about it, pre-release)
Shenmue I'd go to one of the local game shop just to watch the trailer that played on their TV. I really couldn't wait for this game to come out. And when it did, it was pretty much everything I wanted it to be... Except... It wasn't complete. I'm still dreaming for a Shenmue 3
Killer Instinct (arcade) When this game came out, it trashed every other 2D fighters when it comes to visuals. To this day, this is the fighting that I played the most. I'd probably be able to buy a car with all the money I spent on that game at the arcade.
Warcraft 2

I think that's about it... I feel I'm forgetting something.

Super Mario Galaxy 2. I cried.

Far to many to count
Terranigma - I still get such a good weird feeling when i think about the game. Was something special.
Secret of Mana with my parents
Zelda A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Alundra
Star Ocean 2 - Especially this one is one of the few games i play yearly at least once or twice just cause i love this game so much.
World of Warcraft - My first raiding experience in Molten Core was one of the most amazing things ever.
Uncharted 2 + The Last of Us - Untouched in terms of quality.

- Final Fantasy IV (SNES) The oncle of one of my friend got that game early because of his aunt that lives in the US. When he got back home with his copy, me and my friend were playing an other game (If I remember right it was Gradius 3). He told us, with a very enthusiatic smile, that we had to stop playing and let him show us this marvel. I had never played anything like this before. A compelling story that made the game feel very cinematic, despite its srpite based graphics. It was like an interactive novel, with great music and dynamic battles! I had played the original Final Fantasy on the NES before that. But it wasn't until I playe FF IV that the series became special to me. It's also, along with games like Maniac Mansion, a game that helped me a lot to learn basic english back when I was still in grade school. In fact, it's because of games like this that I enjoyed learning english so much. Because I wanted to know what the heck those stories were about! xD
- Resident Evil The first dog you meet. I probably don't need to add more to this reason. But I'll add that I was waiting for FF VII to release before getting a PS. That game changed that.
- Final Fantasy VII I remember buying a lot of magazine that had article about it, pre-release

Mario Galaxy was pretty special for me. It tooke me like a month to beat it completely and I would always look forward to the next time I could play it. I love that game so much...

Resident Evil was alo truly magical. Those legendary dialogues and story will never be matched again in a videogame.
