Forums - Gaming Discussion - the 1080p people...

1080p matters. That doesnt mean Im not content with 900p if it pushes more effects.

But 720p? Its last gen, its not okay. Even if you move your chair the difference between 1080p vs 720p is clearly visible, anyone who says otherwise never compared both. I tested with AC4 and COD Ghost, its huge, its visible and those are only cross gen games with last gen graphics.

Got to experience the Xbox One and PS4 both for the first time today. My "nephew" got BOTH for Christmas today. Played both on a 1080p HDTV--didn't experience Kinect, though. Blown waaaay out of proportion.

People depend on Xbox One guys to never play the PS4 and PS4 guys to never play the Xbox One so they can throw things in their face and make a big deal out of it. Out of Madden and CoD on the One and NBA 2K14 on the PS4, the quality amongst the two were indistinguishable. Both controllers even feel damn near equal.

I'm all about the gameplay and I agree with your post. Never cared to get HD and I never will. I'm to lazy and cheap to even bother.

I don't need two pieces of chocolate cake to enjoy it, but i'd sure like that extra slice.

"feel free to throw tomato on me.... but i feel sorry for the "fans" that only enjoy 1080p and not the game itself"

Then I'm not entirely sure who you're feeling sorry for. I'm getting pretty sick of threads and comments like this, attacking opinions that nobody seem to have.

People just like to make a big deal about small things and argue about silly graphics. Graphics is not a big deal for me.
Of course 1080 is better but 720 is still fine. Its not going to affect the gameplay too much. Something that would bother me more is frame rate issues.

Of course you don't have a choice if you want the exclusive games on the weaker machines. But what if you don't care for exclusives? What would you play on then? The more expensive machine with slightly weaker graphics or the cheaper machine with the better graphics?

Sour grapes I say.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

When i first play PS4 CoD:Ghost which is running at 720p before installing the 1080p patch, my reaction was w.t.f... so this our so call NextGen console hi-end game graphics afterall... feel so disappointed...

But after i installed the patch, then my reaction is Yeah!! now this is what it suppose to be on NextGen console... feel really happy and enjoy it all the way...

So at least for me, 720p and 1080p does makes obvious noticeable differences, but still provided you are using a native 1080p tv to play it or else you won't feel much difference just like those people whoever say so...

Xenogears is what, 240p? The best game I played in 2013..............

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Resolution doesn't matter to me in the slightest. What matters to me is Story, gameplay, and having a blast while playing a game.
