Nay, It doesn't make sense to offer a downgrade to the controller.

Why downgrade?

ps4 controler would make xbox look like crap it would not run on AA batteries and would be rechargable for the same price as ps4 while a rechargable xbox ontroller costs 70$ :D

1. Ditch the touchpad and light bar.
2. Put xbox 360 style analog stick.
3. Make the battery external (I have lost many dualshock 3's to dead batteries. So dont get hyped up. Its for the best).

Personal preference but right now for me:

DS4 > 360's controller > Xbone's controller > DS3

* DS4 and 360's controller are really close
* Xbone's controller have better D-pad but the sticks are loose compared with 360's controller and the bumpers are the worst ever created in a controller.

No, the only reason an Xbox style PS3 controller was made by a 3rd party is because DS3 sucked balls. PS owners have no problem with Dualshock 4.

No. Waste of time and resources. Most people have no problem playing with either controller.

I think that the asymmetrical position of the analog stick is a big advantage to xbox controller, it does feel comfortable, however, the tactical surface and the glowing light may turn out to be very useful in the next years. We'll see about that!

That was a myth created because the 360's controller was better than DS3 and most guessed it was because the asymmetrical thing but DS4 showed it was not that the case because even the people that loves asymmetrical can't complain about the DS4's symetrical.

DS3 issues are related more at the loose sticks and the bad triggers.

The bumper situation is all about hand placement. After about 30 minutes your fingers naturally sit on the ends of the bumpers so then there's no problem pushing them.
