You know, for people who wanted something newer than the 7th gen but couldn't wait for the 8th gen.

The PS4 and Xbone don't have Miiverse, a proper touchscreen on their controllers', etc. So the Wii U is clearly 9th gen at least.

It's going to be sharing retail space with Xbox One and PS4 for this gen, common sense thus dictates that it's 8th gen. Coleco Vision had superior graphics to the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision, and yet they are all attributed to the 2nd gen because they all competed with each other for retail space/consumers. Deal with it.
