WiiU's next gen because its designed to get downports from the Xbone and Ps4. Its a next gen set of ethos and design.

WiiU's all about optimization. People call it a 7.5 gen console because its still PPC. It doesnt have a huge amount of RAM to be PC like so devs can just right code that will run anything.

Sure its stronger but Ps4 and Xbox One will lose performance. Just like PC's do.

 

The WiiU is an 8th gen console because that what its capabilities and design tell me it is.

Being from a generation or another is not a subjetive thing, hence there's no "considerations". Wii U could have 32 mb of ram and no gpu - and it would still be 8th gen

Is like saying your nephew is not from the same gen of your son just because he is retarded

No it could not.

I dont know why people try and make this arguement. Even So compare the Wii and the Genesis in their respective generations. Think about it.

Of course it could

it would have graphics from -1 generation -for sure- but the wiiu would still have the same place in the nintendo family tree, which is what a "generation" is all about

next gen yeah. Not as strong as ps4/xbox one, but those two are not as strong as my gaming pc. So the Wii U's lack in graphics should not really matter as it still produces 1080p
