I think you are assuming much. I have not seen anything of the sort, so you might aswell name those who did so they can defend themselves.

I agree. OP should list names so the suspects can be publicly humiliated for our amusement. I'm actually being serious.

Not necessarily. They might have a perfectly logical rationale for saying what they do. But, i dont see how other nintendo fans wich are getting unfairly grouped with said people can be expected to answer for them. Its a gross generalisation.

Gaming won't die, it's just being dragged in the wrong direction, with cinematic storytelling, gratuitous violence, and masturbatory graphical spectacle too often prioritized over gameplay.

Can you prove this?

You're asking me to prove an opinion?

I mean the apparent impact that cinematics/violence/graphics has on gameplay. You don't have to prove that the direction is wrong. Just demonstrate that it exists, which shouldn't be up to opinion.

This aint to every Nintendo fan. But alot of them keep sayin how HD is killing gaming and we are heading for a crash. I am sorry but that would not be said if Nintendo knew how to produce a modern console.

The PS3 did crap at a time. 360 did crap at a time. None of their fanbases said anything about a gaming crash. Its like with the Wii you got entitled and without a nintendo boom the gaming industry will die?

That train of thought seems silly to me as Sony has kept the console world alive for well over 17 years. I say 17 because we were still enjoying our megadrives and snes's at the time. Nintendo has more than filled up our boots for handheld systems.

I just employ you to see reason and stop complaining about gaming is dead.

Actually a lot of you newer members should look at historical data. You will realise that a generation is a very long time. A lot of things can happen.

Discuss.......

Well if you look at the generations that have passed. Both Sony and MS look up to Nintendo in innovations. Without Nintendo whos going to innovate? The PS5 and XB2 will come out just more powerful systems. People will get sick of it. The gaming industry needs something new all the time or people will consider playing Tablet and Mobile games.

Analog sticks, Rumble Feautures, L-R Buttons, Motion Controls, Touch Screen Controls, Real TIme 3D Worlds etc all came from Nintendo. Nintendo might not be doing that great with the WiiU however look at the 3DS and its innovations compared to the Vita which is just a massive graphic jump from its previous system. Nintendo's  Next Gen console will surely innovate again to keep the buisness rolling. Sony and MS will watch and follow. Again.

This is sentimentally what the OP is getting at. Not only are some of bolded incorrect, but you'd have to be extremely naive to say those would never have come to fruition without Nintendo. Or that Sony and Microsoft haven't brought anything to the table with their respective machines and all they do is beef up the horsepower. C'mon now...

I see alot of features i doubt Sony or MS would even look into. They just supply the Systems while they let the 3rd party handle the rest. Look at the PS controller and how it evolved. It evolved everytime Nintendo brough out a new controller. I am not saying it would never have came out but i could say i dont believe Sony or MS would have been the ones to think of it. Nintendo acclearates the industry, it brings these features to the table. If it wasnt for them we could still be waiting on some of these feautures.

PS Move would never come out if it wasnt for the Wii Remotes.

Every controller on the market has something to do with Nintendos controllers, even the Xbox with its A B X Y button layout.

Even there games follow Nintendos. Like LBP Karting and PS Allstars (Mario Kart, Smash Brothers) to Xbox Fittness (Wii Fittness) and Kinect Sports (Wii Sports). Look at the Gameboy and PSP to 3Ds to Vita. Nintendo leads the way when it comes to ideas, without them we will be in a slow industry.

Overlong cutscenes detract from the gameplay because it's time that should be spent playing. Graphics can distract from gameplay because time and money that could have been spent on advancing the gameplay is instead spent on some giant pointless particle fountain to put in the background of a scene, or trying to squeeze as many polygons as possible into every character model.

They've never played any other good games so don't realize that while classic Nintendo games were amazing, current and last gen Nintendo games have been average to above average, but not amazing.  They assume if Nintendo games are doing worse, then everything else has got to be doing worse.

As someone who's played extensively on Xbox 360 last gen, I'd put Nintendo's Wii efforts up with the all time greats.

Then again, I'm not claiming the industry is dying. (Just getting stale)

it will die for me. Nintedo equals games to me. No nintendo games means I wont play anything else (well maybe some tetris during toilet time) thus the industry dying for me.

Analog sticks: Were on PC for a long time, and the PlayStation Analog Joystick before Nintendo released the N64 controller.
Real Time 3D: haha.  Pretty sure the PC, Atari Jaguar, and 3D0 had those.
Touch Screen Controls: haha.  I suppose all those smart phones & tablets had no influence.

Wait, I see you mean "Nintendo was the 1st to copy something someone did already and put it in a console"?
