Also the 3DS earphone jack does 6.0 speaker surround sound, so make sure to have something like 7.1 surround sound headphones to fully enjoy the 3DS.

The Headphones I have are; Plantronics Gamecom 777

They convert the lower Surround Sound (3D Sound) into 7.1 Surround Sound (more better 3D Sound), and plug into earphone jacks, and theres a seperate Microphone Jack Plug that I just leave unplugged, LOL.

And the 3DS Speakerphones do Virtual Surround Sound, which is better then crappy Stereo Sound from other handheld devices of course.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the awesomeness of your 3DS XL. The 3DS & 3DS XL with Surround Sound Headphones plugged in while having the 3D ON is just a Awesome experience. Make sure to go to System Settings in the Home Menu to make sure the Sound Settings is in Surround Sound.

Thanks everyone. Just sold my Vita and bought a 3DSXL Mario and Luigi bundle from Target for $143. I'll buy the Vita back when it has more games that appeal to me.

So yeah.

Lol. I actually sold my PS3 so I can afford the Vita. Then I bought my PS3 back (the same one) at a discount so it worked out for me. Even if I'm not particularly interested in what the 3DS is offering (which is why I'm hesitant to buy it) - it has mario kart and smash bros. My PS vita has been collecting dust since I beat Guacamele and Persona 4 golden (when it was free on ps plus) and they haven't shown me anything at all for next year.

I believe the sale on the 3ds xl I'm considering also comes with a 40 dollar gift card and a free game for 200 dollars (or alternatively the 3ds xl by itself for 150).

I still have another week to think about what I want to do... I'm just trying to weigh my options and get other people's opinions before I make another dumb mistake, like when I sold my PS3 to get the Vita.

Persona 4 Golden was never free on PS+. Hmm.

Whatever you do do NOT sell your Vita.

 

Buy a 3DS as well if you wish, but dont sell the best portable gaming hardware ever made.
