Forums - Gaming Discussion - Should I sell my vita for a 3ds XL?

Why do people always sell systems?

Just buy a 3DS. You'll get shit money or the Vita selling it. Just keep the Vita hidden away in some cupboard just in case one day you may want it again. Meanwhile buy the 3DS and enjoy it.

Can't tell you how many topics I read where someone says they are "buying "x" system again"

You'll get what like $50 from gamestop for Vita or something pathetic. Just find ways to save that $50 and keep the Vita. Go to McDonalds one less time per week for a few weeks. Stay home one night instead of going out to a bar. THere are plenty of super easy things you could do that could save you $50 or whatever Gamestop would give you for the Vita and then you can have the system still if some game you want ever comes out.

Don't sell the Vita, but do buy a 3DS. I sold my Vita, and I regret it to this day. 3DS is the better system, but right now I wanna play tearaway so badly.

I wouldn't. Vita and 3DS are going to be around for what, another 4 or 5 years? If you sell your Vita now, and a few good Vita games release in the next couple years, you will have lost a bit of money buying another one.

I say, enjoy your Vita for now, and either get a discounted 3DS XL on Boxing Day (not sure if you have this in the USA, but it's the same idea as Black Friday), or wait until next year.

Ontop of the vitas already amazing library i would hold on to it

He can play a better version of almost every single one of those games on a console I guarantee he already owns.

I own both, and I kind of don't want to convince you to make a decision you may eventually regret. If you want a 3DS, buy one as well. If you're absolutely sure you don't want the PS Vita and you wont regret selling it, go ahead.

Just a warning: If you use your PS Vita for things other than gaming, you could be disappointed that the 3DS either doesn't do it, or doesn't do it as well.

I recommend keeping the Vita and buying the 3DS. Just a warning though, the 3DS is a massive step down in resolution and picture quality. If you don't mind that then by all means pull the trigger.

I'm not really satisfied with what the vita has so far and they really haven't shown much for next year either. I'm thinking about selling mine to get a 3ds XL when it goes on sale for $150. Sooo yeah... should i do it?

Sell it if you don't have faith in Sony and its future.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

I love my Vita and would never sell it, thats just me though. Not too interested in the 3ds because im not into Nintendo games that much. I prefer the Vita and all the jrpgs it has.

Yes, people mosly don't see what the Vita can deliver in the long run because of its hardware potential and Sony studios. And they believe that they can get more better games like they got so far in 3DS in future, but all of future 3DS games will be same IP's in graphics and gameply when the technology is pushing more beautiful visuals and new kind of games from indies in tablets and Mobiles. Vita can have that kind of visuals and the new IP's that are coming from the indies along with Sony studios AAA(more 3rd party), but 3DS cannot do anything except the games Nintendo creates by milking their franchises and RPGs instead of new innovative IP's.

Lmao, Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh same game and milking, come up with something original. Vita has great games but 3DS has just as good, if you only care about pretty graphics then your not really a gamer. Same IP's and Milking huh?

Try Kid Icarus Uprising. Brand new and innovative. What cuz it has the franchise name Kid Icarus its just old rehash right? And pls tell me what 3DS games are milked so i can lol so hard?

Whats Milked?

MK7 = 1 per Console/Handheld of Nintendo

Pokemon XY= Brand New generations that innovate more than you can imagine

Fire Emblem= They dont rate this high for nothing. Persona+Fire Emblem equally best 2 JRPGs

MH4= This is milked but this isnt a nintendo game and funny it was originally a Sony Exclusive

SM3DL= Only Mario 3D Platformer

LoZ ALBW= Best rated handheld game of the year and it innovates more than you can imagine for a sequel

Luigi Mansion 2= Original came out 12 years ago, but i guess you'll call this milking

AC= One per Console/Handheld

Bravely Default= Well a SE game but better than the milk FF XIII pulls

I can add more if you like? So pls tell me all the milk games?
