FF XIII was pretty big. At least over here, making the site crash.
Now in hindsight... As far as i'm concerned they could have bought exclusivity for that game!

There was another moment when this site couldn't handle the visitors. Maybe it was Ps3 announcement?
Not that that has anything to do with the topic though.

There was a big ongoing meltdown in brazil foruns, 100% on the internet. unlike many events people are listing here, that happened before internet was popular.
