I'm not sure why there are people judging Forza 5. I just picked it up and its amazing. I don't even notice these little things because I am too busy racing. 1080p and 60 FPS and people still complain? I havnt seen a better looking racing game yet.

Have you raced in PCs?? If you just have played on Xbox360 and now Xbone, then it would be impossible for you to find a better looking racing game.

Xbox one has two major issues:
Bandwidth bottleneck, due to limited ESRAM and rasterizers
Performance deficit, which has trouble sustaining 30/60 fps

PS4 on the other hand,
- does not have any bandwidth issue
- performance is less of an issue (only 60 fps being the occasional issue)

Given that Forza 5
- looks like a decent leap over Forza 4 (both 1080p & 60 fps)
- but does not bring much of a next-gen enhancement otherwise

This is still sufficient for 1st gen, I believe, although, disappointing assuming that this comes from a first party title, supposedly pushing the hardware to its limits. But that's honestly expected. XB1 is just not as capable as PS4.

They need to give the gamers 3 options of graphic fidelity

720p @60fps (high quality settings)
1080 @60fps (medium quality settings)
1080 @30fps (high quality settings)

I wonder what the game could've looked like at 720 @60fps or 1080 @30fps. XB1 may not be as capable as PS4, but it's still a reasonably powerful console, especially when optimized by a 1st party at low level.

I kind of feel bad for Turn 10, as it's clear this was rushed in order to be a launch title. I have little doubt that several more months would have produced a much better game, both visually and in terms of content.

Though, personally, the game looks fine to me. It's just those crowd members that I hate. They all look so cocky.

Also, guys, don't fall for a certain person's baiting, they're just trying to get you banned and they're likely entering everything you say into a personal archive for later retrieval. (lol).

I want to try this game. I want to see by myself the differences from last gen and how enjoyable the game mechanics are. Racing games are my gig and I shouldn't miss it. From all the buzz around the game, I gather it is more like a Forza 4.5 (some people even said Forza 3.9), but since it's the first and only racer on X1 and next gen both, it is a definite Forza 5.

I think ethomaz (GT afficionado) tested it at BGS and liked... so gameplay shall be good (not GT good,  but you get it).

so why aren't we discussing AI and handling by the way? and only 1080p and aa?
