Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Demos are out. Are you impressed with X1 voice commands responsiveness?

Not to mention, the guy was alone in a quiet room. I get better results with Google Now.

Sell me two Kinects without the Xbox One, plz.

Kinect 2.0 confirmed to have two Kinects duct taped together obviously copying Nintendo's strategy with the Wii which was two GC duct taped together.

Like anything, if you push the volume button, why would you expect the channel to change?

It seems that we/they don't even know what the commands are to get this to work. If they are not using the right commands, they will not get the right results. Like all things, you will have to see for yourself.

I talked to a M$ employee that is a beta tester with the XB1. He said that some of the commands are different than what some people expect. He says that he had to "learn the lingo" with it before he got it to work really good.

It is near the end of the end....

I'd hate to see someone from the ghetto try to use the voice commands.

It's just like the voice recognition on phones. I loved using it when I first got my phone feeling how futuristic and amazing the experience is making calls with voice, but after a little bit you realise you could be doing it much quicker by just pressing a few buttons. I see people trying this as well for the novelty for a few days until they get fed up of shouting at everything. Then it'll be back to the controller as it has always been.

from other vids I saw it worked pretty well. Im sure they'll get the kinks worked out. i like it so far.

Gonna be a nightmare for people with an accent and it looks like you literally have to yell and can't talk in your regular tone of voice.

Im not that impressed with the kinect controls... One of the reasons I got the ps4 first. Still, the system is just launching, they have an entire generation to fine tune it and make it better!

There's only so much that can be done. Siri is light years ahead of Kinect, and we all know how troublesome even THAT can be. If I was in the market for an Xbone, I'd just give up on the whole idea of Kinect and focus on the other stuff it offers.

Some people are using the wrong voice commands. the IGN guy was especially saying some wrong commands.

in other cases the environment seems to change how responsive it is. as in the IGN Skype calls both IGN guys say:

"xbox, hang up"

it works for the one guy every time and the other never...

The kinnect features aren't a selling point for me so I'll go hands on to form my opinion about it. if it was the selling point I would not buy an xbox one at this point and wait on an average compilation of user reviews.
