This is actually a huge issue with the DS4 affecting a lot of DS4s. People on this thread are up in arms about an actual issue.

The sticks look such cheap quality, surprised this made it past Sony.

Funny, I was in futureshop today and stress tested the DS4 in the same way and it was perfect. The rubber held up with no signs at all of cracking, tearing or rubbing off..

well i have played my PS4 for about 20hrs (just beat Killzone) and there is zero signs of wear.

I honestly think it's just a bad batch. I'm sure they will fix it in the next one. Not all of the DS4's have this problem to be sure. Some people have had no problems. The amount that have this is not the majority, but it's a sizable minority, one that causes concern.

I can destroy any sticks in question of seconds too... what that prove?

Oh my God, do you people understand what you are creating with all these complaints? All these issues that 99.6% of PS4 gamers never experience? God help all those people buying an X1 next week, you're in for one hell of a rough ride.

The PS5 Exists.

after 3 straight days of play mine is fine, i'll post a picture of my controller soon. So far i don't experiencing what you saw in the store but i have to use it more to see if there is anything wrong with it. Again so far so good.

The top of the stick in the first picture is all scratched up.  I can't think of why that would happen naturally.  Maybe the person's thumb nail but I don't see how that would occur with normal play.  Does the thread explain that?

Regardless, this is why I don't buy launch systems.  If there is a problem, it should be fixed by the time I'm ready to make a purchase.

If this were true then you'd have 1 million people complaining right now seeing how vocal people are being about their bricked system.
