Forums - Gaming Discussion - What were some of the most underrated games you enjoyed this Gen?

Hotline Miami was one of the most addictive games I've ever played. For that alone it deserves a mention for me.

Also Strong Bad's Cool Game 4 Attractive People... the most fun I've had with a point-and-click adventure game.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Around the Network

Metro: Last Light
Killzone 3 ( best shooter of the gen)
Resistance 3
Medal of Honor: Warfighter (great graphics, good and patriotic campaign)
Motorstorm: Apocalypse (best in the series, terrific graphics, with tremendous destruction of the environment around you while you race)

Trauma center games on Wii were amazing. New Blood in fact was my favorite 3rd party wii game. Best use of the wii mote on the system.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Alan Wake
God of War: Ascension
Resistance 3

Around the Network

Siren: blood curse

Hotline Miami: super addictive and really fun to play and try to collect all the mask and secret message pieces was fun.

Virtues Last Reward: even though I never played the previous game to this I loved the story and the mystery it had through out. The puzzles were challenging and very rewarding when you finally figured it out.

Naruto Storm 2: I remember playing this game for hours online with friends, this was the best game in the series imo it by far had the best story mode, added the most characters, and the boss battles were amazingly beautiful. I also felt this was one of the more balanced games in the series compared to generations and storm 3 the later being just a complete mess...

Bioshock 2: a lot of people didn't like this game because Bioshock one was better but this game was still really good. The story was great, the weapons were vast and the plasmas were fun to use defiantly a game to many people look over.

           Survivor Millennial vs Gen X!!

I don't have time right but I'm gonna say Super Paper Mario. Everyone constantly shifted on this game for not using the regular turn based formula, however I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and especially the story.

Have to agree with......

Sleeping Dogs.......... 2nd only to Saints Row 2 for Sandbox game of the generation for me. (only GTA 5 left to play).

Spiderman: Web of Shadows........ played 4 or 5 spidey games this gen, and this one trounces the rest.

Alice: Madness Returns......... very quirky, unique and all round great game.

other mentions.......

Stranglehold....... 100x better and just generally a lot more fun than Max Payne 3.

Deadly Premonition...... another unique game, with unique bosses & the best protagonist of this gen.

Binary Domain........ easily ranks up there with Gears of War & Vanquish when it comes to quality TPS action.

Sonic Genarations........ simply one of the best platformers i have played in many a year.

Singularity.......... easily better than at least 85% of the FPS's released this gen.

The Saboteur........ flew under the radar this one, another GREAT sandbox game.

The Saboteur
Sleeping Dogs
Darksiders 1 & 2
Mafia 2
