Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Ryse Son Of Rome. Best graphics of all next gen titles from a technical standpoint says IGN.

It looks good, but it by no means is the best looking next gen game.  FF XV and Witcher 3 look much better and from a technical standpoint witcher 3 is an open works game so its even more impressive.

It is ok, but not special/cutting edge.

Go watch this - this is ball breakingly good:

I watched it and my balls are not broken.

So you're just ignoring the 1080p, insane polygon count, full dx 11.1, physics engine, damage engine etc etc? Umhum....

Well idk how I'm supposed to be able to determine the polygon count just from looking at that...idk what physics your talking about, all I saw was rock being blown away, nothing really impressive there, I don't even know what a damage engine is lol never heard of that or full dx 11.1.

So what is going on here is that  you don't really have a clue about game engines at all, hence your silly comments about damage and DX.

So why are you posting?!

Why are you doing this? This will backfire on you Selnor when Ryse scores 70% on Metaceritic.

(also the IGN guy is not an authority on graphics. He probably isn't able to judge Ryse graphics better than the average VGC forum member).

Who is?

Game developers, from a technical standpoint.

status.

I disagree. The PS4 is now split up with no Camera EYE. Devs wont want to use it. Shame as Kinect 2.0 is blindingly accurate and responsive. The snap on feature the guy showed us all on The One is Id say 0.5 seconds? Def under 1 sec. And the seamless switching of apps. Xbox One is really impressive stuff. It felt fres, it didnt feel like just a more pwerful Xbox. It felt futurisitc, it felt new.

Also the triggers on Forza 5. Holy C**p. Once you try this, without it would seem gimpy. Microsoft have REALLY delivered on these triggers. Its like watching Gladiator. Watcing it in stereo would be like no rumble triggers. Watcing it with 6.1 Surround is like playing with rumble triggers. Not a necessity, but SO SO much better.

Really? You liked the triggers for Forza? I play alot of racing sims and I didn't really find that the triggers added any feedback to the game. Better than not having them? Sure. But I certainly wouldn't miss them.

Lol you have got to be kidding me, so only people that know in depth knowledge of game engines can post?  Guess what most people don't and most people would not be blown away by that video, there are far more impressive looking games that have been seen on next gen.

Hmm, I remember when one of the best looking games last gen, God of War III, got so much criticism for only looking so good because it was linear and had a fixed camera. I wonder what happened to all that? This has the same exact characteristics, except still not as complex and nowhere near as entertaining. Sure, chopping guys up is cool, but it get's boring if that's all you do for the duration of the story, especially when there's allegedly little variation in the enemies you kill and the tools you use to do so.

But, I guess if some guy on IGN says that this is best looking next gen launch title, we can just take it as fact.

Ryse Son Of Rome is the mosrt technically impressive Next gen title so far says IGN in tis video preview.

Also, THE GAME PLAYS WELL. Cant wait for Ryse, and cant wait to see the visuals on the best launch graphics for the new gen.

It does look pretty.  Although some of the animations look too fast almost.  At first I thought they were just bad, but when you see it in slow motion you realize the animation is probably fine but the speed is rediculous.

Same thing for me.  I was watching the video and it looked like many hits early on in the video didn't even come close to making contact with the enemy, then they showed the stuff slower and then it's like.  Well maybe it did hit him I just didn't notice it.

What does metacritic have to do with the graphics? Oh...Nothing. That's what I thought.

It might hold the crown till we see Naughty dogs game

Pahaha, it just means your opinion is wortheless.

Oh, so what games as that game is actually the most impressive as it is way to demanding for the consoles. So yeah...did you even watch it/pay attention/put your glasses on?
